Motorcycle drivers killed in route 51 frontal accident

A motorcyclist was killed in a frontal collision with two vehicles along Route 51 near Perryopolis on Tuesday morning, according to the state police in Belle Vernon.

The victim, a 57-year-old man who was not identified, drove south when his motorcycle crossed the northern traces and collided with a pickup truck at 5:30 a.m. in the 3000th block of Route 51 in Perry Township.

The motorcyclist was declared dead at the crime scene. The driver of the pickup truck, which was not identified, was brought to the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh for treatment, the police said.

The police said the investigation continued.
