Video: step into the colorful world of Pirates! The Penzance Musical

Tony winner Rupert Holmes has adapted the original libretto by WS Gilbert and shifted the campaign to the legendary Port City New Orleans.

The revival of Gilbert and Sullivan's enriched by Jazz The pirates of Penzance, Pirates! The Penzance Musical Opened on Broadway on April 24, and the roundabout has thrown along the gang to invite them to the party with new video highlights. Production in the Todd Haimes Theater started on April 4th. The limited engagement will continue until July 27th. Take a look at the video above!

Scott Ellis runs and Warren Carlyle choreographies. Tony winner Rupert Holmes (The secret of Edwin Drood) adjusted the original libretto by WS Gilbert and shifted the campaign to the legendary Port City New Orleans. While the score of Arthur Sullivan remains intact, Joseph Joubert and Daryl Waters wrote a new orchestras with Caribbean and French quarter, although Joubert also acted as music director of production.

Production plays Ramin Karimloo and David Hyde Pierce as a pirate king and as WS Gilbert and the major general. They are accompanied by Jinkx Monsoon as Ruth, David Hyde Pierce as Gilbert/Major General Stanley, Nicholas Barasch as Frederic, Preston Truman Boyd as Sullivan/Police Sergeant and Samantha Williams as Mabel Stanley.

They are supported by Kelly Belarmino, Maria Briggs, Tyrone L. Robinson, Cicily Daniels, Ninako Donville, Alex Dorf, Rick Faugno, Niani Feelings, Tommy Gedrich, Alex Gibson, Afra Hines, Dan Hoy, Ryo Kamibayashi, Tatiana Lofton, Nathan Lucrezio Morris, Cooper Stanton, and Bronwyn Tarboton.

The design team includes the scene design of Tony winner David Rockwell (She loves me, doubts), Costume design by Tony winner Linda Cho (((The Great Gatsby, a Gentleman's Guide for Love and Murder), Lighting design by Tony winner Donald Holder (South Pacific, my fair lady, the king of the lion), Sound design by Tony Nominee Mikaal Sulaiman (Macbeth, an enemy of the people, doubts), Hair and wig design by Charles G. Lapointe, make-up design by Ashley Ryan, fight choreography by Rick Sordelet and Christian Kelly-Sordelet as well as dance arrangements by John O'Neill (harmony).

Kate Wilson is the production language coach. The production stage manager is Charles Means and production management is provided by Aurora Productions. Denise Cooper is General Manager. Michael Aarons is the music coordinator. Casting comes from Jim Carahhan and Jason Thinger.
