2 dead, 4 injured in the Thomasville-Multi vehicle crash; Suspect in custody

Two people are dead and four more injured in a wreck with several vehicles in Clarke County.

The Thomasville police said that the wreck took place on Tuesday on Tuesday on Highway 43 and at South Industrial Park Drive at 11:51 a.m.

Officials say that a loaded semi -car and a trailer hit four vehicles from behind, which were stopped for a red light.

The driver of the first vehicle. The 37-year-old Ashley Marie Springer McDonald was hit by the truck. The police say that McDonald was declared dead on site.

The driver of the second vehicle, who was identified as a 53-year-old Woodie Earl Beck III, was also declared dead on site.

The Alabama Independent School Association confirms that Beck was a coach at the Wilcox Academy in Camden.

According to the police, four more were transported to the Grove Hill Memorial Hospital with an ambulance and privately owned with non -life -threatening injuries and later released.

According to officials, the semi-truck is owned by the 4 US transport companies in Chicago and was occupied by 45-year-old Andril Dmyterko from Philadelphia, PA, and 31-year-old Denys Kucher from Warminister, PA. Both men are currently working visa in the United States.

Dmyterko, who was the driver at the time of the accident, was charged with two cases of vehicle deadlock and is currently in the prison of Clarke County.

The cause of the accident remains examined.
