3-year-old girl shot, killed by her 7-year-old brother, says Sheriff

City of Crystal Lake, Wis. (WMTV/Gray News)-A 3-year-old girl was shot by her 7-year-old brother in a city in Wisconsin, say officials.

The shootout occurred on Saturday evening in a house in the city of Crystal Lake.

Marquette County Dispatch received a 911 call shortly before 4:30 p.m., and the MPs reacted to the house together with the fire brigade of Neshkoro and the Ems of Waushara County.

According to Joseph Konrath, Sheriff of Marquette County, the siblings were visiting her mother at the weekend. The family was not out of the area.

Konrath said this was a devastating situation for everyone involved.

“The first aiders and the people who worked on the investigation were very difficult for them, but it was more difficult for the family,” said Konrath.

Marquette County's office is currently not published further information due to the “sensitive nature” of death and the participation of minors.

The examination continues.
