Trump 'drops Janette Nesheiwat for the general selection of the surgeons, nominations Casey means instead

While some of Donald Trump's more remarkable personnel decisions took a long time, he wasted little time when he announced that the FOX news employee Janette Nesheiwat would be his choice for the surgeon General: Trump made his choice just two weeks after winning a second term.

While most early personnel decisions of the President have already been confirmed by the Republican Senate, Nesheiwat, a general practitioner, has been waiting for a hearing for confirmation for months.

This week, the doctor's waiting should be over: The Senate Committee for Health, Education, Work and Pensions, the Health, Labor and Pension Committee (Help) should hear this week directly from Nesheiwat. Now this hearing does not have to be continued.

The President announced his social media platform that Nesheiwat's nomination is no longer – he could not explain why – and added that he instead Dr. Casey means for the position. The Associated Press describes funds as a “wellness influencer with tight connections with the secretary for health and human services, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.”.

Trump's Makivation later claimed that his first choice for the general surgeon in “another capacity” at the Department of Health and Human Services would work.

For supporters from science and public health, the decline of Nesheiwat's nomination is not precisely discouraging. In a Huffpost report from the autumn, it was detailed in its background and, as a trump loyalist, with little experience in public health, placed a prerequisite for a general surgeon-which made highly problematic on-air comments on hydroxychloroquin during the pandemic.

Just like Nesheiwat sold dietary supplements with their image on the bottle, including the extremely dubious claim that “your immune system will be further strengthened within a few weeks”.

Between this and her Fuchs messages, the doctor did not have the kind of professional background that one would expect in a general surgeon.

Although it is not yet clear why Nesheiwat's nomination ended, the list of personnel failure from Trump continues to grow. The collapse of the Attorney General of Former Matt Gaetz helped to get the ball rolling last autumn, and soon Chad Chron Minister followed the failed nomination to lead the drug authority administration and the former MP Dave Weldon's failed nomination in order to direct the centers for the control and prevention of illnesses.

Recently, Republican MP Elise Stefanik from New York has learned that she was no longer Trump's decision to act as a US ambassador to the United Nations, and two weeks later Kathleen Sgamma, who drawn the election of the President to lead the Bureau of Land Management, withdrew from the public from her criticism of January 6.

This is a developing story. Please check for updates.
