“The crime has dropped for the seventh month in a row, and that is the direct result of the strategies we introduced and the tireless work of the men and women of the NYPD,” said Tisch. “But even with this progress we are not satisfied-we can do more and more to reduce crime and ensure that the New Yorkers feel safe. Next week we will take our summer violence plan to make these challenges directly and continue the work to hold crime in the whole city.”

In addition to the traditional implementation, the top police officer was committed to starting the quality of life of the department, also known as “Q teams”.

Since she took to the streets last month, she said that the teams exhibited more than 2,400 cervites, made 132 arrests and seized 91 mopeds, 17 e-bikes and 352 vehicles that have been bound by chronic complaints if they reacted to illegal mixtures, abandoned vehicles, smoking shops and repressed.

In April, the subway was hosting one of the most important crimes for years when 44-year-old Felix Rojas was allegedly raped on a manhattan pull.

Last month, the NYPD said that it also worked with federal, state and local partners to defeat members of the violent gang tren de Aragua, notorious for sex trade, drug distribution, violations of firearms and more, which led to 27 arrests.
