»I have to score points to win: 'The former NFL -OL –

George Pickens' time with the Pittsburgh Steelers ended. While he had a good season 2024, his attitude was still a big problem. Pickens was a first -class retail candidate. The Steelers decided to send him to the Dallas Cowboys for Draft picks. The former NFL -offensive -Line -lineman Terron Armstead is confused by the move.

“I don't know what the Steelers are doing,” said Armstead on Wednesday about Chris Simms. “It is difficult for me to collect what your plan is offensive. You have no solidified quarterback in the building. I know that you have exchanged for DK Metcalf, but you want so many people who win one-to-one one-one institutions as possible.

“I know that the defense will be what it is again. They are stacked there in defense. You have to score points to win. You have to score points to win in this game, especially in the regular season, you have to set points. It is now a faster game, more points are the direction of the Steelers offense.”

Armstead is correct that quality offenses are now more important than ever. Unfortunately, this side of the ball was a problem for the steelers. While their defense was mostly outstanding, they were unable to set up a criminal offense that can consistently support them.

This year it looked like that could have changed. The Steelers trade with Metcalf gave them a big boost. Your offensive line has also come along well, and you have just added an explosive return to Kaleb Johnson. By trading in picing, however, the Steelers can be back on weapons.

In addition, Pittsburgh has no clear direction in the quarterback. You have courted Aaron Rodgers, but there has been no business. While Rodgers is 41 years old, he still looks like a good player. If the Steelers sign it, he should give them their best quarterback for years.

However, Rodgers probably cannot wear a franchise as he once did. It is therefore important to give him a nice side line -up. Trading picke does not do that. It leaves Wide receiver as a weakness for the Steelers.

Maybe the Steelers have a plan to change that. You can still add another experienced recipient. Although you probably don't add anyone who is as talented as pick, you could update what he currently has with Wideout.

Arthur Smith's offense was also successful with only one dominant recipient. Some parts could still fall in position to give the Steelers offensive more direction, including the signing of Rodgers. At the moment, Pickens' trade seems to be strange, but maybe there is a plan in which Pittsburgh's problems can be resolved on the offensive.
