Criminal trenders down in Bossier, says the sheriff's office

Bossier City, La. (KSLA) – On May 7, the Bossier Parish Sheriff's Office (BPSO) released updated crime statistics for the non -legal areas of the Bossier Parish until April 30, 2025.

This underlines several promising developments in the landscape of public security of the municipality and strengthens its reputation as one of the safest and fastest growing communities in Louisiana.

Sheriff Julian Whitington wrote proactive police strategies and community partnerships for the positive results.

According to the report, Bossier Parish saw:

  • Zero
  • Zero robberies
  • The index of the violent crime is still stable and shows a modest increase of 3%, which is mainly due to minor rise applications in the event of attack and intimidation cases
  • Real estate crimes: 13% decrease
  • Car theft: 64% drop
  • General theft: 5% down
  • Burglary: 29% decline
  • Rape reports: a decline in 6%
