Students of the Dana Hills High School killed, 5 other hospital after the pickup crash in Dana Point to the hospital

Dana Point, California (KABC) – One student was killed and five others were injured when a pickup fell into Dana Point late Tuesday morning, a school officer confirmed on Wednesday.

“With profound sadness, I share a car accident with six Dana Hills students yesterday,” said Brittany Casey, headmistress of Dana Hills High School. “I am deeply sad to report that one of our students died from the crash and that our other five were brought to nearby hospitals with injuries.”

The young driver, who was declared dead at the crime scene, was identified as a 16-year-old Rebecca Cespedes by Dana Point. No pedestrians were injured.

“When it heard of the incident, it was pretty sad. Many people were brought back. It is quite surprising to hear that the students drive quite dangerously in Dana's port,” said Jackson Linhart, Senior at Dana Hills High.

The collision with a vehicle occurred shortly before 12 noon on Tuesday near the intersection of Dana Point Harbor Drive and Iceland Way, according to the Sheriff from Orange County. The crash site is less than two miles south of the DANA Hill high campus.

Two of the truck's passengers were hospitalized in a critical condition, said a spokesman for a sheriff. Two other teenagers in the truck suffered minor injuries and it is expected to be in order.

“The hospital is not doing too well in the hospital. Some of them have kept up to date on social media, in their stories and things. Hopefully it will work from here,” said Linhart.

The video of the scene showed the damaged white pickup on a grass area near the right shoulder of the street.

“We are aware that this tragedy influence our entire school family and have several advisory agencies and therapy dogs on the campus who are supported for needy or employees,” says the school families. “If your student would benefit from talking to a consultant, please do not hesitate to contact our website directly.”

“The Dana Hills High School is a strong community that will join for each other and the affected dolphin families,” added the headmaster.

A provisional monument for flowers and candles continued to grow at the accident location on Wednesday morning.

“My son died in the same situation about five years ago, and I only know that parents should not bury their children,” said Doug Mudge, a resident of the region.

The cause of the crash was examined.

“I particularly know when this seat belt does not run out, the children will not put on their seat belts as in the back seat. After lunch, people simply stack into cars and simply drive around the cars,” said Linhart.

“My advice is that life is more in life than in the moment you are in, and if you think a little ahead, you will probably make smarter decisions,” said Mudge.

The students of the Dana Hills High say, instead of looking forward to the prom that weekend, they mourn the loss of their losing of their folding mate and friend. Capistrano Unified School District has consultants and therapy dogs on campus.
