A Montclair widow seems to have changed prison period after the Totowa Animal Hospital had kept open until the death of a pet during the operation with fake veterinarians.

Alia Muslih and two New York men who were accused of giving up as false veterinarians in 2021 for about six months, according to their first arrests, there were dozens of charges.

This week at the Supreme Court in the Passaic County, the 43-year-old Muslih was guilty of fulfilling and paying charges for fraud from the third degree for changing identity, health claims, taxes and cruelty to animals.

Muslih's husband Adel Hamdan was a popular, licensed veterinarian. The 73-year-old man died of Covid-19 in December 2020, as previously reported by Northjersey.com.

Hamdan had been licensed to operate the facility – but after his death nobody was qualified for employees.

In July 2021, a dog owner called the police after their pet died after a routine spay date in the Totowa Animal Hospital.

The police shared the Department of White Criminal Crime by Passaic County, which opened an investigation.

The authorities found that Muslih had illegally opened the animal hospital monthly after the death of her husband, with Abdel-Fatah and Gamarra allegedly equipped as veterinarians.

The police said they would carry out surgical interventions and treat animals medically.

Until August 2021, the State Board of Veterinary Medicine confirmed that the Totowa Animal Hospital was no longer a licensed veterinary clinic.

Muslih will be suspended for up to 5 years in June, said Passaic County's prosecutor, Camelia Valdes.

She has also agreed to pay the victims a refund in which very specific amount of $ 422,666.75.
