A complaint against Jefry Knight submitted by passenger

Pinellas County, Florida – The fatal crash of Clearwater Ferry boat is now the subject of a lawsuit.

It was submitted on Monday in Pinellas County by one of the people on board the PSTA ferry, which according to the authorities on April 27 by a 37-free leisure boat around Sunset was hit by a 37-foot leisure boat.

Michael Wyatt represents the passenger Nicole Malele. According to Wyatt, his client, a teacher in Pinella's County, was on board the ferry with her son and suffered a broken thigh, cuts, bruising and emotional trauma.

“You will wear this for the rest of her life. You know that if you get on a boat and possibly climbs in a vehicle, you may think about something like this,” said Wyatt.

Other passengers have also charged a Lawyy, as did the operator of the leisure boat Jefry Knight.

Knight was not charged, although one of the other ferry passengers, Jose Castro, died of his injuries. His family members advocate justice.

“What kind of world is that?” His sister recently said in an interview. “What kind of person is that?”

In a recent letter to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), which is still investigating the crash, Kevin Hayslett, a lawyer for Ritter, who ferry – the lighting in question and suggested that those on the ferry of Dolphins have been distracted.

Meanwhile, Wyatt hopes that flaws against Knight will be at the bottom of what happened that night.

“That is why we submitted the lawsuit. We want to take deposits. We want to find other videos and you know that you are doing a thorough examination and see what really went that night,” said Wyatt.

Even before this process takes place, he and his client believe that Knight was negligent when he met the ferry and they believe that he was too fast for the conditions present that night.

“We want accountability,” said Wyatt. “We want Mr. Knight to take responsibility for his actions that evening.”

The lawsuit calls for legal proceedings and compensation of more than 50,000 US dollars.
