Lady Mustangs achieves 12 runs in victory over West Union

Dodsonville-Zwei Homeruns in first place Lynchburg-Clay Lady Mustangs held the Southern Hills Athletic Conference Division I on Tuesday evening when they defeated the West Union Lady Dragons 12-0 in five innings in LCHS.

The two homes of LCHs were from the bats of Noel Barnhill and Sadie Kuipers, whereby Barnhills Homer in the first inning over the fence of the midfield was a three-run Homerun. Kuipers' Homerun came in the third inning, a solo shot over the fence in midfield.

Lynchburg-Clay was the “away team” on her home field, as the game was relocated to Lynchburg-Clay due to the field conditions in West Union.

The Lady Mustangs scored six runs in the top of the first, followed by a run on the top of the second, then another run in the third inning crossed the plate. LCHS added two runs in the fourth and two final runs in the fifth to achieve a win with 12 runs in five innings.

LCHS ended the game with 16 goals when seven batters scored the goal in victory, with a four-goal game and two three hits. There were also two two hits games that give Lynchburg-Clay-five players with a multi-hit game.

Barnhill was a perfect 4 against 4 with a run and three RBI, since two of their hits went for additional basics, including the above -mentioned homerun and a double.

Audrey Barry went with a run, a double and a RBI 3-on-4. The Lady Mustangs also had a three-goal game by Sophia Michael, who was 3-against-4 with two runs.

Reese Ruble went 2-against-4 because both goals were twice. She also added a run, two RBI and theft.

Kuipers was also 2-on-3 because she had the above Homerun, as this had led to an RBI and a run.

Avery Blankenship was 1-2 and Jazmine Brown went 1-3 with a theft. Kami Collins scored a run for LCHS, Aubrey Roberts scored two runs and forced a walk. The Lady Mustangs also had theft of Baylee McClain.

Barnhill was the winning jug, which set up all five innings on a total of 60 parking spaces. It did not allow runs with two goals and without walks with 12 strikeouts.

LCHS is now 9-1 and a total of 14: 3.
