1 Harvey County you get lifelong imprisonment

Wichita, Kan. (KWCH) – A man from Harvey County is in prison without being the possibility of being a probation for 25 years, and another is guilty of sexual crimes against a child who is younger than 10 years old.

Hunter D. Miller from Newton was sentenced to prison after a jury in Harvey County sentenced him to rape a child last April who was less than 14 years old.

“Before the conviction, the court denied Miller's application for a new procedure,” said Heather Figger Heather, County County.

Figger said that if he is ever released from custody, Miller will “be subject to lifelong probation with electronic monitoring and have lifelong registration as a sex offender”.

Harvey County's lawyer said that the case against Miller was pursued with the support of the Newton Police Department and Heart -To Heart Child Advocacy Center.

In a separate case that includes identical fees, Figger said that Jarad CarmichaelHarvey County guilty last week to rape a child under the age of 14, and tightened criminal sodomy. In Carmichael's case, Figger said that the crimes occurred between April 1, 2023 and April 21, 2024 in Harvey County. The conviction against Carmichael is set for July 16, and he could also confront a lifelong prison for 25 years without the possibility of probation.

After his arrest last month, a judge Carmichael's bond found at 750,000 US dollars.
