Ansonia, Conn. – The participants of a takeover jumped to the cruiser of an officer and ended with objects early Saturday morning, the police said.

The police from Ansonia said that the department had received reports on the takeover at around 12:25 p.m. at the intersection of the Wakelee Avenue and the Franklin Street.

On arrival, an official saw 50 to 100 people present and cars drove irregularly, the police said. A group surrounded the cruiser and one person jumped onto the hood of the cruiser, the police said.

The police said the official then hit a parked car while trying to withdraw from the group. The police said the group then started throwing things on the cruiser.

The crowd divided into the scene as other officials, the police said.

Nobody was injured during the takeover, the police said, and an examination was underway to identify those present.
