Trump says he will visit the name “Persian Golf” on the Middle East | Decide | Donald Trump News

US President says he will announce a decision on the waterway during the trip to Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, said that he would make a decision about how the United States refers to the “Persian Golf”, during an upcoming visit to Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.

When Trump spoke to reporters in the White House on Wednesday, he expected that after his first trip to the Middle East, his hosts had been using for the Wasserstrasse since the Weißen House was reproduced according to the name of the United States.

“I have to make a decision,” said Trump in response to a question of whether he would announce an announcement of the name of the water.

“I don't want to hurt the feelings of anyone. I don't know if feelings are injured.”

“I am informed about it and I'll make a decision,” added Trump.

Trump's comments came after US media reported that he would like to use the trip from May 13th to 16th to announce that the USA will refer to the water as Arabic Gulf or the Golf Arabia.

The name of the waterway has long been a voltage source between Arabic nations and Iran.

Iran argues that the “Persian Golf” in the face of historical evidence, including old cards, which is the corresponding name, shows that it is part of its territory.

Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Iraq and other Arab states use the term “Arabic Golf” or “the Golf”.

In 2023, Tehran called the Iraqi ambassador to protest against the use of the name “Arabian Gulf Cup” for the region's flagship.

In 2012, Iran threatened to sue the Internet giant Google because it had left the waterway nameless on his online card company.

The Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi condemned the recent proposals of a name change as a “indication of enemy intentions to Iran and its people” and warned that such a step “would only bring the anger of all Iranians from all areas of life”.

“Such biased actions are an affront to all Iranians, regardless of their background or their place of residence,” said Araghchi in one post on X.

“Let's hope that the absurd rumors about the Persian Gulf that run around are no more than a disinformation campaign by 'Forever Warriors' on anger Iranian around the world.”

In one of his first actions as President, Trump signed an executive order in January to rename the Gulf of Mexico as a “Golf of America”.
