Bovey man critically injured after motorcycle/school bus crash -Duluth News Tribune

Coleraine-a man has life-threatening injuries after his motorcycle collided with a school bus on Wednesday.

According to a press release from the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash occurred at 2:18 p.m. The State Patrol said that a school bus drove south on the US Highway 169 and turned towards Morrison Avenue when he met a motorcycle on the north lane.

The driver of the motorcycle, Damian John Hellel, 44, from Bovey, was after Essentia Health-St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth with life -threatening injuries according to the release. The driver of the bus, Gerald Arnold Runton, 69, from Bovey, was not injured. The state patrol said that the bus was otherwise not occupied.

Heinkel was not wearing a helmet and the road conditions were dry at the time of the incident.

The police were the police in Coleraine and Grand Rapids, the Sheriff office of the district of ITasca, the fire brigade of Trout Lake and North Memorial Health Air Care.
