Christian Golfer Scottie Scheffler remains the best golfer in the world after having achieved the lowest score on the PGA tour again.

During his time at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson in Texas, Scheffler shot 31-Unter-PAR and secured the first title of the year.

“The first wire-to-wire winner @CjByronnelson Since 1980! Scottie Scheffler gets his first victory of the 2025 season in a dominant way, ”wrote the PGA tour in a post about X.

The victory was something special because Scheffler secured the title in his hometown course in McKinney, Texas.

“I grew up to see it. This was my first start on the PGA tour when I was in the high school,” said Scheffler after winning the CJ Cup Byron Nelson. “The girl with whom I made up at this time is now my wife. We have a son. My sister played for me at that time. She was here today; she has two children. My family was able to be here, and it was just really, really special memories, and I think everything is sometimes possible.”

Scheffler not only wanted to be at home, but also wanted to win this tournament to honor the late Byron Nelson, who died in 2006. When Scheffler was a child, he had the opportunity to meet Nelson, a moment he was never forgotten.

“When I think about this tournament, I think of Mr. Nelson. I think about what he did for the golf game. He was a man of faith, and he was also a great person from the golf course. He was a person I read a lot about. I had the opportunity to meet him a few times.

Scheffler recently visited the Master's Club Dinner.

“It was an honor to sit among these men during this year's Masters Champion Dinner #themaster,” wrote the golfer.

Scheffler contains “Christus-Follower” in his Instagram biography and often refers to his belief in the course.

After winning the master's last year, he said to the media: “My friends told me this morning:” My victory was certainly on the cross. “And that is a very special feeling to know that I am sure forever, and it doesn't matter whether I win this tournament or lose this tournament.

Although Scheffler is grateful for his last victory, he knows that his strength and identity come from God solely regardless of his performance.
