NBA admits that referees missed critical calls to Cavaliers Game 2 defeat against Pacers

The devastating defeat of the Cleveland Cavaliers against the Indiana Pacers to the devastating games 2 is already falling as one of the notorious memories of the city's sports history.

Somehow the loss got worse 24 hours later when the NBA published the last two minute report of the game.

In it, the league admitted that the referees missed two critical calls on the route that can completely change the end result.

The first missed call was when Pascal Siakam took a free throw with 48 seconds.

It was clear that Aaron Naesmith left the three-point line far too early, but the officials never referred to the lane.

Naesmith's Put-Back Dunk, who lowered Cleveland's lead over five points, should never have counted, since “several players enter the trail and cross the three-point line before the ball is released for the free throw”.

Instead, there should have been a jumping ball.

The second missed call occurred shortly before Tyrese Haliburton's player shot.

Since “several players enter the trail and cross the three-point line before the ball is released for the free throw and the shooter steps over the aircraft of the free-wing line before the ball touches the edge”, there should also be a jumping ball in the middle of the square.

Unfortunately, nothing can now be made against these missed calls.

Is it for Cavaliers fans to know that the referees missed these critical calls and that the NBA admits it?

Absolutely.

But are these missed calls the only reason why the Cavaliers lost this game?

Not at all.

Cleveland missed five free throws, fought the ball and had problems recovering the ball in coupling moments.

The only option of the Cavaliers is to pass to game 3, and based on Donovan Mitchell's reaction on Tuesday evening, they plan exactly that.
