President Trump will announce his first trade agreement on Thursday since his steep tariffs last month and teased the announcement in a social media post in a social media post in late Wednesday evening.

Trump did not reveal the country's name or the terms and only said that it was “a big and highly respected country” and that representatives with him would participate in the Oval office for the announcement at 10 a.m. The white house declined a comment.

Usually it takes many months of negotiations to rule out trade agreements. Trump's agreements could rather be a framework, whereby details are determined in the whole line.

His administration has involved a flood of talks with trading partners since April 2, when Trump were 10% on all imported and the so -called “mutual tariffs” – steep tariff walls, which were called the punishment countries for their trading practices and volumes, and to draw the manufacture to America.

After the markets fell, Trump retired and went on the hikes for 90 days. The only exception was China, where 145% tariffs effectively stopped the programs. Economists have warned that the tariffs could lead to a bottleneck of some goods and increase consumer prices for others.

The Trump administration officers said his steps brought to the table to talk about a number of trade questions, including Japan, South Korea, the United Kingdom, Vietnam and India. On Saturday, the finance minister Scott Bessent and the sales representative Jamieson Greer China will meet in Switzerland.

Since taking office, Trump has beaten sectoral tariffs for imports of cars, steel and aluminum and threatened more about films, copper, wood, pharmaceuticals and semiconductors.
