Freeze Watch after Michigan for Friday

On Thursday at 1:11 am EDT, the National Weather Service gave a Freeze watch for Friday between midnight Edt and 8 a.m. Edt for the counties Iosco, Gladwin, Arenac, Mackinac and Charlevoix.

The weather service is prepared for preparation for “temperatures in the frozen temperatures in the middle 20s up to lower 30s”.

“Harvest and other sensitive vegetation could kill frost and freezing conditions,” commented the weather service. “Now take steps to protect delicate plants from the cold.”

What to do if there is a freeze clock or warning

Free rooms will be issued from May to October (but can be extended if necessary) if the low temperatures are expected to be 29-32 degrees. If the temperatures fall into these thresholds, a freeze watch can be issued a few days in advance.

According to the weather service, there is little to protect plants when a freeze warning or observation is issued for your region. If you can move your sensitive plants inwards, do so, because freezing you probably kill depending on the severity of the conditions.
