Three former Memphis police officers were not found guilty on Wednesday

Five black police officers were charged with the 29 -year death of Reifen Nichols in January 2023, who kicked, beaten, beaten and sprayed pepper.

The five officers, members of a special anti-crime squad called Scorpion Unit involved, were captured on video during a traffic stop near his house in the city of Tennessee in the city of Tennessee in Memphis.

He died in a hospital three days later.

Two of the officers are guilty of state and federal accusations, while the other three – Tadarrius Bean, Demetrius Haley and Justin Smith decided in court.

A jury acquired Bean, Haley and Smith on Wednesday of all the state charges that they were exposed to, including the most serious indictment for the second degree of murder, reported the commercial appointment.

The Memphis newspaper said that the mostly white jury had thought for eight and a half hours before issuing the unusual judgment.

Bean, Haley and Smith have already been convicted of federal accusations and were able to have up to 20 years in prison. Haley was also convicted of excessive violence.

The conviction was delayed until the conclusion of the state procedure.

The other two former police officers of Memphis, Emmitt Martin and Desmond Mill, have to testify to manipulations in state and federal cases in which they are guilty, excessive violence and witnesses.

The then Vice President Kamala Harris visited the funeral of Nichols and his relatives were invited to President Joe Biden's speech by the Union in Washington.
