President Donald Trump is expected to announce a trade agreement with the United Kingdom on Thursday morning on Thursday morning on Thursday morning, according to the persons familiar with the matter.

Trump teased the announcement in a social media post on Wednesday evening and said he would hold an Oval Office press conference to “discuss a large trade agreement with representatives of a large and highly respected country.

Details of the agreement were not immediately clear. The people familiar with the plans describe them under the state of anonymity. Regardless of this, a British official confirmed that Trump would later outline a deal on Thursday.

Trump was suspended with political pressure to find a process out of his plan to increase US tariffs to the highest level for a century because the surveys show that the Americans determine its economic administration. Trump signaled that the deal that he will discuss would be the first of many would be because he plunge the barriers for US exports and the calm market on turbulence that is driven by the extensive scope of his tariffs.

However, each agreement would go hand in hand with significant restrictions. The negotiation of full-scale trading pacts usually takes years, and the discussions with several nations have concentrated in the best case with a top agreement on obligations and intentions that can traditionally be included in comprehensive trade agreements in order to be negotiated later.

The conversations with Great Britain have focused on some areas such as Tech and AI, whereby the Labor government of the country wants to reduce the scope of the US tariffs -in particular the 25% rate for British cars and steel.

While the extent of a pact is probably limited, Prime Minister Keir Starrer, whose administration announced a more comprehensive trade agreement with India on Wednesday, would give a boost. Starrer tried to maintain close and warm relationships with Trump, regularly held phone calls and promised a second state visit to Great Britain – sometimes in the hope of securing lower tariffs than those that were imposed in other peer countries.

The White House did not immediately answer a request for a statement on the country involved or the scope of potential business. The British embassy in Washington also did not immediately answer a request for comments.

“It is certainly true that the United States is an indispensable ally for Great Britain for both economic and national security reasons,” said British Defense Minister John Healeye, Times Radio, and refused to confirm that the agreement will be revealed later on Thursday. “Since the Prime Minister visited the White House in February, we have had detailed discussions about an economic deal.”
