Motorcyclists suffered serious injuries to the crash

The Statesville police authority is investigating a serious collision for serious injuries, which took place on Tuesday (May 6th) shortly after 7 p.m. at the intersection of the Garner Bagal Boulevard and the Buffalo Shoals Road.

The crash included a Honda motorcycle from 1985 and a 1994 Dodge Truck. According to the preliminary examination, the Dodge Truck drove western direction at Garner Bagnal Boulevard and tried to bend a left hand on the Buffalo Shoes Road.

While the truck was in the left lane, the motorcycle entered the intersection. The dodge could not give in to the opposite traffic, which caused the motorcycle to collide with the passenger side of the truck.

The operator of the motorcycle suffered serious injuries in the crash. It was originally taken to the Iredell Memorial Hospital and later flown to the Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Hospital, where he remained in a critical condition for the latest report. At this point, it is not assumed that speed and impairment contribute factors to the collision.

The traffic department of the Statesville police authority examines the circumstances in connection with the collision. Anyone who has seen the incident or has information that could help with the examination is asked to contact the traffic department under number 704-878-3406.
