According to the Russian EW system designer, killed by car bombs in Bryansk

Yevgeny Rytikov, a Russian engineer who was involved in the modernization of the EW systems (Electronic Warfare) used against Ukraine, was killed on April 18 during a bomb attack in West Russia, the Ukrainian and Russian media reported on April 25.

Rytikov died when he and his colleague entered a car in the Russian city of Bryansk, around 100 kilometers north of the border between Russia and Ukraine, RBC Ukraine wrote, citing non-mentioned Ukrainian defense forces.

The engineer headed the design office in the electromechanical plant in Bryansk and was responsible for the modernization of the Krasukha EW system, with which Russian armed forces counteract drones and air force.

According to RBC Ukraine, Rytikov's deputy or assistant was probably also killed in the explosion.

The Russian telegram canal Mash reported that Rytnikov was killed by an improvised explosive device that was filled with fragments and strapped to the bottom of the vehicle. It is not immediately clear who was behind the reported bomb attack.

The Kyiv Independent could not check the claims. The military secret service agency of Ukraine (HUR) said that they could neither confirm nor reject the reporting.

The Ukrainian security services were associated with several attacks by Russian military mileage and other figures involved in Moscow's war against Ukraine.

Lieutenant General Yaroslaw Moskalik, deputy head of the main directorate of the Russia Army, was killed on April 25 at an explosion in Moscow Wohnast.
