New York man, who is charged with attacks on the Jewish people because of federal hate crimes: Doj

A New York man was arrested on Wednesday morning and charged with the federal hate crime after he had repeatedly attacked Jewish counter-protesters in anti-Israel protests in New York City between 2024 and 2025.

The 20 -year -old Tarek Bazroouk faces three cases in which hate crimes were attacked and attacked for allegedly targeted and attacked Jewish people at three protests in NYC in connection with the continuing war between Israel and Hamas.

Bazroouk was arrested in all three cases, but “remained undeterred and quickly returned to target Jews in New York City,” said US lawyer Jay Clayton for the southern district of New York.

He was arrested by the NYPD because he had fallen in a group of pro-Israeli demonstrators, said the Doj and stepped into a Jewish college student in his stomach while being brought into a patrol car. On December 9, 2024, Bazroouk allegedly attacked another Jewish student during a protest near a university in Upper Manhattan, said the doj. The second victim was with his brother – both wore Kippah – and had an Israeli flag draped over his shoulders when he sang Jewish songs.

Bazroouk is accused of being stolen and expired. The victim and his brother chased him through the crowd to get it and after they got it back, Bazroouk supposedly sneaked next to the second victim and hit him in the face.

At the beginning of this year, on January 6th, Bazroouk allegedly committed his third attack on a Jewish person in a protest in Manhattan. The third victim had an Israeli flag around his shoulders and was wearing a hat with the flag and a chain with a Jewish star.

Bazroouk wore a Keffiyeh on his face when he supposedly picked up “contact” with his shoulder of the third victim and his foot cunning around his ankle. When the victim tried to push him away, Bazroouk supposedly cured and hit him in his nose.

Bazroouk convicted of the federal government for all three charges for hate criminal offense, Bazroouk is a maximum of 30 years in prison – 10 years per count.

The indictment against Bazrouk seems for the first time that since October 7, 2023 in connection with the anti-Israel protests, the American college campus has been submitted in connection with the anti-Israel protests.
