Mikko Rantannen does it again, stars take game 1 against jets

Game 1 goes to the stars.

On Wednesday, Dallas ended his loss series in series openings with a 3-2 win with a 3-2 victory in game 1 against the Winnipeg Jets.

Mikko Rantannen made the heavy lifting in the second period and stayed with another hat trick in just a time. Then Jake Oettinger did the rest and was in the third to bring the victory home.

Third period

Finale: stars 3, Jets 2

Jake Oetttinger strengthens a storm in the last five minutes and somehow keeps the jets out of the goal. The stars win game 1 to end their 8-game loss strips at serial openers behind the burning floor of Mikko Rantannen.

5:40 in the third: Still a one-goal game because the things are shabby in the third.

12:00 in the third: Seguin is no longer in the box and the stars are still at the top after the PK.

14:00 in the third: The teams acted power plays to start the third. Winnipeg has successfully killed the first, now the stars have to go after a Tyler Seguin High Sticking Call to Tay. Thanks to Mikko Rantannen, Dallas still leads 3: 2.

The second goal of the jets took out part of the strength, but the history of the second period was all about moose. Mikko Rantannen sends the stars 3-2 into the changing room.

6:00 p.m. in the second: The stars start the second period by successfully killing their second penalty of the night. Still goalless in game 1.

End of the first period

0:05 in the first: Shortly before the horn sounds in the first period, the Stars defender Codi Ceci is marked for a high stick. The stars will go to the penalty for the second time this evening when the first period ends goalless.

4:19 in the first: Marchment is back and the stars successfully kill the jet's power game. Jake Oettinger came up with a nice stop towards the end of the kill.

6:30 in the first: After a call to Mason Marchment, Winnipeg will get the first power play in the series.

A great opportunity for the jets that were exceeded in this first period. And a big test for the stars.
