Death Stranding 2 offers players more decisions and freedom, says Kojima; Limited Edition Dual Sense Controller announced

Death border 2: Look less than two months after the planned publication date on the beach. As part of a media explosion, the creator Hideo Kojima was interviewed by the Playstation blog and revealed further details about the sequel. For example, the upcoming game offers players more selection and freedom compared to the previous episode.

Death Stranding 2: A similar philosophy was designed on the beach. The players familiarized themselves with the first game with the genre “delivery game”, and the sequel builds on it and offers players more selection and freedom, especially in combat. You can blaze in weapons or you can decide not to use weapons at all. We also made cars and motorcycles more accessible.

As for history, the predecessor revolved around Sam and Cliff. This time the story meets deeper to who is Lou, her relationship with Sam and Sam's background story.

Kojima then spoke about the election of the environment (Mexico and Australia):

Mexico shares a border to the UCA (United Cities of America), so that the neighboring cities had to be connected. As Sam mentioned many times in the game, we were extremely aware that the structure of these “connections” did not appear to be invasive. Sam's trip to connect America from east to west was inspired by the American border. After the UCA was founded, we wanted the sequel to take place in a place where a similar geography shared with America – stretches from east to west and borders the sea in the north and south. Eurasia is too big and Africa didn't really fit the bill either. Australia checked all the boxes, but the next edition with which we were confronted was how to combine the North American continent with Australia. After many discussions, we decided to implement the “plate gate” to connect the two continents.

Today Sony also introduced Death Stranding 2: On the Beach Limited Edition Dual Sense Controller. The design was designed in cooperation with the game developer Kojima Productions.

The controller will be available on June 26, on the same day as the game. The price is 84.99 USD / 84.99 € / £ 74.99 / ¥ 12.480. Pre-orders begin on May 22nd at 10 a.m. on the Playstation Direct website in the following countries: United States, Great Britain, France, Germany, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg.
