President Trump said on Thursday on social media that his administration agreed with the United Kingdom about trading problems, his first business since his steep tariffs last month, the stock markets have changed.

Usually it takes many months of negotiations to rule out trade agreements. Details of Trump's agreement with Great Britain were not immediately available, although Trump said it would be “full and comprehensive”. It is expected to officially announce the deal at 10 a.m. in the Oval Office.

Trump's administration has had a flood of talks with trading partners since April 2 when Trump had a tariff of 10% on all imported and the so -called “mutual tariffs” – steep tariff walls for their trading practices and volume and the drawing of production to America.

The United Kingdom was not to the countries that were exposed to the big hikes. It had a basic tariff of 10% for its exports and higher sectoral tariffs for exports of cars, steel and aluminum.

Trump retired from his country-specific tariffs after the markets have dropped in the past month and set up the hikes for 90 days, even though he held the 10% princely as well as those for cars, steel and aluminum and extremely steep tariffs in China, in which 145% tariffs effectively stopped the programs. Economists have warned that the tariffs could lead to a bottleneck of some goods and increase consumer prices for others.

The Trump administration officers said his steps brought to the table to talk about a number of trade questions, including Japan, South Korea, the United Kingdom, Vietnam and India. On Saturday, the finance minister Scott Bessent and the sales representative Jamieson Greer China will meet in Switzerland.

This is a developing history and is updated.
