The legislator in Ohio interviews governor and the death penalty in the murder of the officer

The brother of the correction officer of Ohio, Andrew Lansing, opens the murder of his brother at Ross Correctional for the first time and lists what he calls in the state prison system. At the same time, the legislators in Ohio say that more problems within the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections could prevent justice from prevailing in this case.

“It will be easier,” said Alan Lansing four months after his brother was beaten to death at Ross Correctional Prison Yard. “The first month was difficult.”

According to ODRC, Officer Lansing worked on a 16-hour Christmas day when he was killed. They said that the inmates Rashawn Cannon aimed the officer Lansing in an unprofitable attack, which “did not let him recognize”. A Grand Jury of Ross County has charged a cannon because of a series of charges in the death of officer Lansing, and three of the cases could lead to the death penalty with a conviction.

“Do you want the death penalty for the death of your brother?” ABC6 on her page asked investigators Alan Lansing.

However, Ohio has not carried out anyone in the death cell since 2018. This causes some legislators to question why and the personal agenda of governor Mike Dewine.

ABC6 on her side asks the governor about the death penalty in Ohio.
