At least 1 dead in the car against train accident in Salt Lake City

A driver was killed in a collision between a car and a train near 1887 South 700 West on Thursday, according to the Salt Lake City police.

The main crash unit of the city reacted shortly after the crash, which occurred on a railway line that crosses 700 west and runs between industrial and warehouse buildings. The vehicle started fire after the impact, and the driver who was the only occupant was declared dead at the crime scene.

The traffic on 700 west was blocked on Thursday morning from around 1700 south to 1900 south when the investigators found it to determine what led to the crash.

The authorities could not say whether the train was Uta or freight.
