The 77-year-old tourist falls into his death in Arches National Park in Utah

A 77-year-old man from Germany died after he had died on a hike in the Arches National Park in Utah, the authorities announced on Wednesday.

Rudolf Peters from the city of Haldelem on Lake in West Germany hiked in a rough department of a path called The Windows Loop, when he fell on Tuesday, the national park service announced in a statement.

Spectators tried to revive Peters before the rangers arrived, together with the responders from the district's office and the country for emergency services to the district, but it was declared dead at the crime scene.

The Park Service determines together with the Sheriff's office. The statement gave no further details about the fall.

The park service reminded the visitors of arches, which are known for its graceful stone formations, to consider uneven surfaces, to change the weather and their own health states if they choose the hike.

Deaths in the Arches National Park

At least seven other visitors have died in the national park since 2023.

Last August, a 68-year-old man from New Jersey died while hiking on the Devils Garden Trail in the park. Two months earlier, a 58-year-old woman from Utah died while hiking on the sensitive of the park.
