The Killen police examined the death of the man, 21, after shooting

Killen, Texas (KWTX) -The Killeen Police Department examines the death of a 21-year-old man for a shootout, according to the police.

On Tuesday, April 29, around 1:26 a.m., the police in the 5000 block of the Morning Star Lane were sent through a victim of a shooting.

Officers found a male victim with a gunshot wound, says KPD.

EMS reacted and began life -saving measures, and the man was brought into the Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center in a critical condition, where he later died of his injuries.

The victim identified as Kaizen Amere Simmons was passed away by the judiciary of Peace Nicola James. She ordered an autopsy to be carried out at the Southwest Institute of Forensic Sciences.

The police say that the preliminary investigation indicates that the suspect was in his car and hit someone on the street when the shootout took place.

KPD asks the residents of the area to check their surveillance cameras for all people who are nearby at the time of the shootout.
