The police arrested the father of the 15-year-old, who killed 2 at the Wisconsin religious school

Madison, Wisconsin (AP) – The father of a teenage girl in Wisconsin, who killed a teacher and fellow student at a school, was arrested on Thursday in connection with the case, said an Associated Press official.

The shootout occurred last December in the Abundant Life Christian School in Madison, and the police planned a press conference on Thursday to discuss the investigation.

An official of Madison City, who was informed about the case, but was not justified to speak before the press conference, confirmed that Jeffrey Ruppnow's arrest was related to the shootout.

Rupnow daughter, 15-year-old Natalie Rupnow, opened the fire in the abundant Christian school and killed a teacher and a 14-year-old student before killing herself. Two other students were critically injured.

Jeffrey Ruppnow did not immediately answer a message that the Associated Press connects on his Facebook page. Nobody immediately gave back voicemails that were left for him and his ex-wife Melissa Rupnow in possible telephone lists. Online court files show that he represented himself in the divorce of the couple in 2022 and in this case no lawyer lists for him.

The police had explained that they had examined Natalie Rupnow two weapons that she had on the day of the attack. The police did not discuss a clear motif in the attack. The former police chief of Madison, Shon Barnes, said shortly after the shootout that a “combination of factors” motivated the shootout, but he refused to specify what they were.

Jeffrey Ruppnow is the youngest parent of a school shooter who is charged with an attack.

Last year, the mother and father of a school shooter in Michigan, who killed four students in 2021, were sentenced to involuntarily homicide. The mother was the first parent in the United States to be held responsible for a child who carried out a mass school attack.

The father of a 14-year-old boy who was accused of fatally shot four people at a Georgia High School was arrested in September and was charged with a second degree and involuntary homicide murder because he could have a gun.

In 2023, the father of a man who was charged with a fatal parade parade in a suburb of seven offenses committed himself for seven offenses that his son received a weapon license.

The abundant life teachers Erin Michelle West (42) and student Rubi Patricia Vergara (14) were killed at the shootout.

Frequent life is a non -denominational Christian school that offers pre -gambling classes through high school. About 420 students attend the institution.
