4-star RB Jonaz Walton sets the commitment date, a school trend

Carrollton (GA.) Central four-star return Jonaz Walton I will announce his commitment on May 14th, he published on Thursday on X.

The 5'9, 190 cunts recently referred to a list of its top 10 schools in February, but seems to decide between a smaller list. Tennessee, Notre Dame, Alabama Florida and Stanford are the five schools that he caught up with official visits this summer.

However, they are the fighting Irish who are a favorite course in his decision next week. On3 VP of the recruitment of Steve Wiltfong registered an expert forecast on Tuesday in favor of ND.

“You brought him on campus twice this calendar year and I think nd is the one to be beaten,” he wrote. “With this I registered an on3-u / min in favor of Notre Dame to ultimately land the verbal four-star company.”

Fighting Irish, look at many boxes for Walton and his family

One of the key factors in his decision are academics, an important guy in Notre Dame's Cap.

“Some of my favorite things come on the academic piece. This is one of the greatest things I enjoy. And the coaches,” he said recently about Wiltfong. “Trainer Seider is a new addition. I have a relationship with him and it is more. The same applies to coach Freeman. To be able to deal with it and learn more about him.”

His father, William, repeated a large part of the same feeling.

“We all feel the same, it's a kind of surreal,” he added. “You look at the film 'Rudy', you follow the team this season and if you climb here, now you meet a few players and meet coach Freeman and see the facility that was really different. It was more substance. We were in many places where we visited a lot of bells. More substance here.”

In three seasons at the university level, the younger Walton has accumulated more than 5,600 all-purpose courtyards and 73 touchdowns.

According to the on3 industry ranking, Walton is the overall brochure and the RB of No. 10 in class 2026, a weighted average that uses all four large recruitment media companies.

On3, however, is slightly higher for him than the other services. In the recently updated on300 ranking, it was left behind as the recruit of the country and No. 6.
