Lawyers of death in South Carolina, who was killed by shooting on April 11, say that the state “botched down” the judgment and Mikal Mahdi “suffer” longer than it should.

The 42 -year -old Mikal Mahdi shot three balls of trained volunteers into his heart in April. At that time it took four minutes to die. Now an autopsy has shown that Mahdi suffered more than the estimated 10-15 second window he should. After the SF chronicle, a photo of Mikal Mahdi's Torso only showed two different wounds if there were three.

In addition, the balls hit his pancreas, his liver and his lower lungs and largely missed his heart. Insenses that face the firing squad have covered their heads with black fabric and a large red destination on the chest.

The pathologist who carried out the autopsy for the state, Dr. Bradley Marcus, said that there were two half of the customs wounds on Mahdi's breast. He suggested that three shots could have been fired and wrote: “It is assumed that gunshot wound with the name (A) represents two gunshot wounds.”

Dr. Jonathan Arden, Mahdi's lawyers, received her own pathologist, who introduced the Court that it would be “extraordinarily unusual” that both balls had entered through the same hole, and wrote down Dr. Marcus' surprise in the knowledge.

“The shooters missed the intended target area and the evidence indicated that it was only hit by two balls, not of the prescribed three. Consequently, the type of internal injuries led to a longer death process,” said Arden.

“Among the questions that remain: Has a member of the execution team Mr. Mahdi completely missed?

Witnesses described the moments after the convicted man shot with a little shock when they called him and heard him moan. “Mahdi had an adult. I won't call it a cry, but it will be like a groan or an indication of pain immediately after the shot.

The 42 -year -old Mahdi decided to die from three balls instead of a fatal injection or the electric chair. On March 7, Brad Sigmon has been executed in the first death of the US shot squad for 15 years and only in the fourth since 1976. The others all occurred in Utah.

The 42-year-old Mahdi received the death penalty for the murder of 56-year-old captain James Myers from the Department of Public Security from Orangeburg from 2004. Myers was shot after discovering that Mahdi was hidden on his property in a shed.

Mahdi then set fire to the officer's body. Three days earlier, Mahdi also murdered an applicant's shop employee, to whom he was guilty.

Mahdi's last appeal procedure was rejected by South Carolina, and his legal team's application for grace was granted by governor Henry McMaster, who has never approved a application for grace.
