Man who was arrested on I-10 near Las Cruces due to false crash and sends a woman to the hospital

A 20-year-old man is accused

Isaiah X. Lopez was arrested on Sunday morning after the authorities had reacted to an accident with two vehicles to I-10 East near Milepost 151 near Mesquite.

The authorities believe that Lopez was drunk and drove a black Kia on the wrong street in 2015 when he fell his car head-on into a blue Honda 2016 Honda.

First aiders treated a woman by whom she said she was the driver of the Honda and brought her to the Memorial Medical Center.

No injuries were reported for Lopez.

According to police documents, the authorities received several 911 calls that describe a black Kia “tried to break off against oncoming traffic”.

Officers described on site that he found two empty alcohol containers in the back seat of the Black Kia and alcohol smell in Lopez.

The police then said that she had put Lopez through soberness and alcohol tests and saw that Lopez seemed to be “the influence of exhilarating liquids and or drugs”.

Lopez was arrested and booked into the Dona Ana County's continuation center.

Lopez was accused of severe DWI for physical injury and ruthless journey.

The records of the court in New Mexico show that Lopez 'indictment, his first formal court appearance, is planned for May 20.
