Beltline crash leads to 1 injured fluid leak

Madison, Wis. – Firefighters of the Madison Fire Department were sent to the Beltline on the Verona Road to the east on Monday afternoon after a reported vehicle crash.

Shortly after 4 p.m., firefighters arrived at the scene and saw an utility truck and a dump truck who was involved in the accident. Mediff treated one of the drivers because of minor injuries that were not taken to the hospital.

According to the MFD, firefighters observed that the dump truck had left hydraulic liquid, which led to one of the crews stuck the leak by putting “oil dry” on the floor. The MFD dangerous incident team also arrived at the scene to provide more materials for the absorption of the spilled liquid.

MfD said this incident has been referred to the law enforcement authorities since then.
