Viral video shows Akron Police Officer who puss during the arrest

Akron, Ohio – We learn more about a viral video that shows that the Akron police arrest a man in an apartment complex, and an officer who repeatedly hits him in the head when he lies on the floor with handcuffs.

You can watch the video in News 5 at 11 as part of our television report tonight.

According to the Akron Police Department, the officials responded to an apartment complex near Coley Path and Crane Walk at around 9:17 a.m. after a caller said a man attacked a woman in a parking space.

On arrival, the officials found the man who was covered with blood and stood next to a end table that witnesses said that he had broken the windshield of a car.

The police said when the officers approached him, he ran away, but was caught shortly later.

The video of the arrest of a viewer shows how the man is tied up with handcuffs with his face. Two police officers stand above him. One of the officers can be seen how he keeps hitting him in his head.

Toni Rosciolo was witness to the arrest and filmed her. “Two police officers were on their backs with their knees, and next I know I hear, blow, blow, blow, like five or six times,” she said.

Rosciolo told us that the officer who repeatedly beat the man while he had his face down on the floor.

In the video you can see how two officials arrest the man on site and a fight between them.

Rosciolo believes that the officials acted as they shouldn't have.

“Yes, you have to bring it together … just because you wear a badge does not mean you can do what you want,” she said.

The real estate manager of the apartment, Maya Robinson, told us what happened before the man's arrest.

“I received numerous calls from our security team on site and from my maintenance team that there was an argument between a man and his girlfriend and his children,” said Robinson.

She told us that the man with one of the residents living there caused problems in the complex – and that the man who was arrested was not a tenant.

“It appears from the call of the maintenance man, whom he threw into the car, the children and his girlfriend,” said Robinson.

Robinson told News 5 that the man appeared drunk. “He (the man who was arrested) sounded incoherent, and the maintenance man was afraid to approach him,” she said.

After the officers had arrested the man, he was treated by Ems on site and brought to Summit County prison, where he was held on to the arrest for disability the official business and the resistance, the police said. He also had an arrest warrant from the Canton police department for disorganized behavior.

The police chief of Akron, Brian Harding, published the following statement on the arrest:

“I want the community know that I realize that there are concerns about this incident due to the use of violence. We are reviewing this incident as we do with all police violent applications and will work on sharing further information as soon as it is available.
