Who killed Wilma June Nissen in 1978?

Rock Rapids, IA (Dakota News Now) – The daughter of a cold fall victim in Sioux Falls trying to find answers to who would have killed her mother and can throw her body in northwest Iowa in 1978.

A pensioner dug and discovered a body with go-go boots and rag clothes in the ditch, which has been there for some time.

The question remains: Who killed Wilma June Nissen?

“She was my mother. I never met her, but I feel a massive connection to her,” said Krissi Atkisson.

There is a remarkable similarity between Atkisson and her mother. Nissen, a native Californian, spent a short time in Sioux before her death.

“I just want to know more about my mother,” said Atkisson.

Nissen worked in 1978 as an escort and dancer from Sioux Falls, but was in Iowa for a private party. Two escorts known as sugar and peaches may have more information, but have fled.

In Rock Rapids, Atkisson received an update of those who worked on the case.

“In order to finally meet the deputy detective stoner, it was really nice to meet her,” recalled Atkisson.

Fingerprints identified Nissen in 2006, amplified DNA was found on a rope that is wrapped around Nissen, but it is not enough to process.

“If someone has something that they think they are completely insignificant and trivial, I really want them to call the route line,” said Atkisson.

In a conservative area, some hesitation can admit to visit these parties, but the morning cloth could help find answers and get peace.

“If they had something to do with it, they clarify their conscience. She went. I will never meet her. I have the feeling that I miss a piece,” said Atkisson.

Lyon County's department said that the case was still open and active, progress in science continues to help and there are still details that have not yet been announced that the case will be progressed.
