3 killed in Sweden, as a police chase the suspect as a police

Three people were killed at a shootout in the Swedish city of Uppsala on Tuesday, and a murder examination was initiated, the police said.

The police are looking for a suspected perpetrator, reported the news agency TT.

The police previously said they received calls from members of the public, who heard the shots in the city center and that emergency services had rushed into a scene.

“Three people are confirmed dead according to a shootout … the police examined the incident as a murder,” said the investigators in a statement.

Witnesses announced SVT senders that they had heard five shots and saw people in the area who handled themselves to take cover.
