2 killed when shooting with US marshals in San Juan County

The investigators are still trying to tie what happened before us, which shot and killed us two people in San Juan County.

Farmington, Nm – The Sheriff's office of the San Juan County confirms that two people are now dead after the MPs and US marshals have tried to take a man in custody.

Kob 4 spoke to neighbors from Sun Valley Park, who say what happened on Wednesday evening, it didn't happen often.

“It is scary because flying balls have no names. If it is nearby, it hits the house, hits one of my children, beats me or it is my wife. I mean you can't help that.”

It all started around 6 p.m. when US marshals and MPs from the San Juan district came out to the Copper Avenue to arrest Brandon Roe. Roe was sought because of three crime accusations, including commercial burglary.

The Saniff's office of the San Juan County says while waiting, Roe and a woman named Breanna Wilkerson drove forward.

The MPs say that Roe had tried to climb the driver's seat, and then US marshals shot on the car and killed both.

24 hours later, neighbors still cannot believe that this happened on their street.

“It is a safe neighborhood because many people take care of their own business here, don't really look for trouble. But if you call 911, it takes more than 30 minutes to get here.”

Despite the safe feeling, the neighbors say that they would not mind seeing more of a police presence.

“It is sad to see a beautiful side of the neighborhood, it is not a high -class side of the neighborhood, it is a low class, but it feels like we are leaving. But if there is more attention to this side of the community, I think fewer things would happen.”

The San Juan County's sheriff office says that it will continue to work with the US -Marshals service and will publish further information in the course of the examination.
