Kuala Lumpur: A total of 9.62 million water consumers in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya can now report pipe leaks about the effective Air Selangor 2.0 app today, said Pengurusan Air Selangor SDN BHD (Air Selangor) Chief Executive Adam Saffian Ghazali.

He said that the improved mobile application now contains a “Report Leaks” function, so that users can report in real time and through pipes, incorrect measuring devices and illegal connections.

“This initiative aims to reduce the rate” non-invocation water) and to ensure more efficient water management, “he said in a statement today.

He said that the Air Selangor 2.0 app was unveiled during the Madani Smart Water campaign that the deputy prime minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof had presented today.

Adam Saffian added that the app also contains a monitoring function of water consumption via the liters per head per day (LCD) indicator with which consumers can evaluate and manage their daily water consumption.

“You can compare your consumption with the benchmark recommended by the National Water Services Commission (range), which is 160 liters per day, and receive water -saving tips that are tailored to your household profile,” he said.

According to Adam Saffian, Air Selangor has implemented several digital initiatives as part of its sustainability operation for the promotion of intelligent water consumption among consumers.

At the Madani Smart Water campaign carried out by the Span and the Ministry of Energy Ministry and Water conversion, it is a national initiative to promote careful water consumption in public in order to ensure the sustainability of the water supply.

He said that the campaign in April corresponds to the Memorandum of Collaboration, signed between Air Selangor and the Monsta Studios SDN BHD, in order to strengthen the efforts to sensitize water -saving awareness among the younger generation.

The three -year cooperation aims to implement creative programs and activities in which the younger generation is involved in raising awareness of water protection at a young age, he added.
