Pedestrian from Hit-and-Run driver killed in Harbor Gateway Area

A pedestrian was hit and killed by a hit-and-run driver in the Harbor Gateway area early Thursday morning.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the crash occurred around 2:40 a.m. near the intersection of the S. Figueroa Street and W. 146th Street.

They arrived and found the victim, which was only described as a man in the fifties, dead at the scene. He has not yet been identified.

The investigators had no information about the suspect or car that was involved in the crash.

The police say that a good Samaritan in the area saw the man's body on the street and tried to do HLW until the paramedics arrived at Los Angele's fire brigade and explained the victim.
