Mississippi Death Row inmate applies again before he executed the petition

Biloxi, Miss. (WLOX) – Mississippis on the longest noticeable death tooth inmate, Richard Gerald Jordan, has a petition in front of the US Supreme Court.

Jordan is to be executed on June 25th at 6 p.m.

In 1976 he was sentenced to death in Harrison County for kidnapping and killing Edwina Marter.

On Wednesday, the General Prosecutor's office in Mississippi submitted an opposition to Jordan's latest petition.

The General Prosecutor's office said Jordan's claims that his mental health was a problem with the negotiation and claims that the refusal of an independent expert during the trial is without merit wages.

Jordan has already cited several legal challenges for his prison sentence and has been sentenced to death four times.

On Thursday, Jordan waived the 14-day waiting time to quickly pursue the case.

The Court of Justice can check the petition at its conference of May 29.
