Bese board emphasizes the willingness of the workforce at the Ouachita Parish

Monroe, La. (Knoe) – The board for primary and secondary school formation in Louisiana (BESE) visited the Ouachita Parish School Board on Thursday, May 8th, to expand nationwide efforts to expand the internship opportunities for seniors of the high school.

The event “Bridging Success”, which took place in the school authority office, focused on the connection of students aged 18 and over with real work experiences.

The initiative aims to strengthen the relationships between educational and work needs and ensure that the students are professionally after the conclusion.

“What we do is to visit companies, educators, superintendents and systems to talk about the move of Louisiana to the next great business environment on the workplace,” said a broom representative.

Student leaders from all over the state took part in workshops and networking meetings, which they suspended a large number of career paths. The organizers emphasized how important it is to combine academic knowledge with practical experience.

“These children will distinguish themselves for apprenticeships and internships. They receive life skills, résumé experiences and a clearer vision for life after the high school.”

The event is an important step in Louisiana's extensive commitment to the success of the student beyond the classroom.

Further information on future programs can be found on the Ouachita Parish School System website.
