Robert S. Mummert was selected by Steve Wilson and Orville Susong from the over 58,000 names in Vietnam Travelling Memorial Wall after Friday evening. The wall is exhibited in Wickham Park for the 37th annual Vietnam and all veterans reunion.

Robert Sterling Mummert was born on April 14, 1944 in Ohio. He grew up in Rialto, California, and completed the Eisenhower High School in 1962. He married the love of his life Wilma Ditchcreek on August 7, 1965 in San Bernardino, California.

Mummert was moved into the US Army and began on March 3, 1967 in Vietnam.TH Infantry division, 4TH Battalion, 23RD Infantry, B Company. Mummert's specialty was light weapon infantry.

On July 5, 1967 in South Vietnam, Province of Binh Duong, Mummert unit was under the tank defense fire. As a result, he was killed in action. Binh Duong was an important area of ​​conflict with numerous engagements between us, ARVN and NVA/VC forces.
