Readfield – Samuel T. Whittemore attacked his wife and mother with a fireplace poker, killed his wife and injured his mother, the 911 called, while hiding under her bed to report that her son had a mental collapse, as was not detected from the documents on Wednesday.

Whittemore was signed in state custody last month, after an investigation into mental health was found that he was not authorized to stand in court to restore his intellectual competence so that he was put on trial for charges.

Court documents describe a cruel crime scene and state that Samuel Whittemore, 34, had told the authorities several times that he killed his wife and thought that he also killed his mother.

Dorothy Whittemore, whose home in Giles Road in Readfield was the place of the attack on February 19, told the police that her son had attacked her and his wife with a fireplace poker. The police found a custom -made fire poker in Dorothy and her husband Henry Whittemore.

A WINTHROP police officer who answered the crime scene told the state police that he had heard that Samuel Whittemore made several statements, including himself as Jesus and said: “I murdered my wife and mother.”

Later, when Whittemore was taken to the hospital to be checked out, and then to the Kennebec County prison, he supposedly said to the police: “I can't believe that I killed my wife,” I'm so stupid “and” I cannot confront the reality at the moment. “

A dispatcher reported that you hear a woman who was later decided to be Dorothy Whittemore, said after she called in 911 for help: “Please stop, Sam, what are you doing?”

Dorothy Whittemore also told the police that “Sam took the phone from her in 911 and recited a poem to the dispatcher”, said an affidavit that the detective Erin James submitted by Maine State Police.

The police, who reacted to the scene, came across Samuel Whittemore naked on the street and reported that he screamed over murder and in 1776 and made other unusual comments.

Margaux Whittemore was found dead ahead of Dorothy and Henry Whittemores Haus, and the police found that Dorothy Whittemore hid under her bed. She was taken to the hospital for treatment for injuries.

An autopsy of Margaux Whittemore by the deputy chief searcher Liam Funte found that her nature of death is murder injuries due to sharp and dull violations of violence. The autopsy revealed a wound on the back of the head as well as a few stab wounds as well as several shots and bruises.

Samuel Whittemore was charged on March 19 for murder, severe attempted murder and serious bodily harm.

Dorothy Whittemore told the Sam and Margaux police who lived in Belfast in the past five days in Readfield, and Sam had had difficulties in the last four nights.

Dorothy Whittemore said she was down when Margaux came down, and Sam followed her: “In anger and chased both with the chimney poker through the room.”

Margaux fled outside, followed by Sam, and Dorothy fled up into the bedroom and called 911. She said that Sam had hit her with the poker and put his knee or foot on her chest, which makes it difficult to breathe.

Henry Whittemore was out of the house when the attacks started. He told the police that he came home to see Margaux 'body in the entrance. He went up and found his wife hidden under the bed, and confronted Samuel, who was also in the bedroom, but fled and fled from the bathroom window.

The police for the first time reported that the entrance to the house was disordered and there was a large amount of blood and more blood on the stairs and at the top of the stairs.

Samuel Whittemores lawyer, Walter McKee, declined a comment.

The affidavit said Sam and Margaux were married in August 2024.
