UW evaluates high grades in the academic progress rate

Seattle – This week, the NCAA published its latest report on academic progress quota (APR), in which the student athletes of the University of Washington are still excellent with a one-year rates of 996 and a price of 992 lasting several years. This is the 12th year in a row in which Washington has achieved all programs over 980.
“UW Athletics continues to achieve at the highest level of APR metric” Pat Chun. “Success in a world-class institution like ours requires real commitment and hard work. Our student athletes as well as our trainers and academic support employees have built up an environment that promotes academic achievements.”
Washington's four-year-old rate of 992 remains above the national average of 984.
Other recent academic successes for the department include a success rate of 94 from autumn 2024 and a GPA department from 3.49 compared to the winter quarter 2025, the highest grade average of the department since a quarter without exposing covid-specific quarters.
Seven UW teams for several years of APR score in the top 10 percent of all programs at national level were excellent rulership, women's basketball, Frauengolf, gymnastics, beach volleyball, women's football and volleyball. The seven top 10% programs rose from five in 2024.
Six programs are currently perfect for 1,000 points: women basketball, beach volleyball, women's golf, gymnastics, women's football and volleyball. These six programs are also number 1 in the Big Ten Conference. Men's football is the second among the big ten schools, and the rudder of women is in third place.
APR offers a real-time view of the academic success of a team every quarter by pursuing the academic progress of every student athlete on scholarships. The APR makes up justification, storage and completion and offers a measure of the academic performance of every team. The APR results published today reflect the academic prices compared to the academic years 2020-21, 2021-22, 2022-23 and 2023-24.
