Man killed 70-year-old woman with bat in Trumbull: Police NBC Connecticut

A man who is accused of following his 70-year-old former mother-in-law from a shopping center and having killed her with a baseball bat in front of her Trumbull apartment was charged with murder.

The police said 45-year-old Ylli Shtopaku from Norwalk attacked the 70-year Lida form outside the ten-trumba apartment complex after returning home with a friend on Monday afternoon.

Shtopaku informed the police that he had blamed the form of his divorce after the arrest warrant.

The police reacted to the apartment complex after receiving several calls on Monday shortly after 12:30 p.m. when they reported that a man attacked a woman in front of the main office building near the entrance and the officials.

When they arrived, they found a seriously injured shape. After the arrest warrant at 12.55 p.m., EMS declared her dead for her.

Shtopaku told the police that he saw his former mother -in -law and another former relative when he was at the Food Court in the Trumbull Mall to order pizza and chicken wings for his children when they came home from school and made eye contact but did not speak. This was followed by them from the shopping center to the apartment building, depending on the arrest warrant.

During the investigation, the police found a surveillance video that showed that Shtopaku had driven back behind the ride that arrived at home and called up and her acquaintance when they got out of the vehicle. Then he grabbed a baseball bat from his trunk when they walked away from him, ran past the acquaintance and, according to the arrest order, struck the bar.

Shtopaku told the police that he accused his mother -in -law for his divorce, lost his house in Monroe and the fact that he has no money, the arrest warrant said.

He said he said Shape that she killed him all his life and that he once killed her. Then he dropped the racket and waited for the police to arrive according to the arrest warrant.

Shtopaku was charged with murder and he is recorded in a bond of $ 3 million. He appeared in court and his bond amount remains the same.

Shtopakus lawyer said his client told him that he recently had a stroke.
