The girl's father who killed 2 in the Wisconsin School

The father of a youthful girl, who was fatally shot by a teacher and a fellow student at a Christian school in Madison, Wisconsin, was arrested on Thursday and was charged with crimes related to the case.

The 42 -year -old Jeffrey Ruppnow from Madison was accused of contributing to the crime of a child, and two cases to provide a person under the age of 18 a dangerous weapon, which led to death, as the police records showed.

John Patterson, the reigning police chief in Madison, Wisconsin, said on Thursday at a press conference that both weapons that the girl Natalie Ruppnow, 15, were legally bought by Mr. Rupnow at the time of the attack in Dane County.

Mr. Rupnow, who would expect up to 18 years in prison if he was found guilty in all cases, had a weapon in the house, said Chief Patterson. “Her father knew that she had her or at least had access to them,” said the boss. He said it was unclear whether she took the weapons from the safe or outside the safe.

On Thursday it was not immediately clear whether Mr. Rupnow had a lawyer. It is expected to take a first meeting on Friday.

Natalie Ruppnow was a student at the frequent life Christian School, who was known as Samantha. After the attack, she died from an apparently added gunshot wound, the police said. The authorities have not given a motif for the shootout.

The shooter opened fire on December 16 in a study hall for students from several classes at school.

She had communicated online with people around the world about her fascination for violence and school shootings, said Chief Patterson. He said that the authorities had found a “manifesto” entitled “War against Humanity”.

The two people killed were identified as Rubi P. Vergara, 14, a student, and Erin M. West, 42, who was listed in a Staff list as a replacement coordinator in frequent lives, offered the pre -child strip over high school courses for around 400 students.

Two other students were critically injured in the attack and have recovered since then, officials said. Four more – three students and one teacher – were hospitalized with less serious injuries.

The shooter had two pistols with herself, the authorities said in December, although the police said they were believing that they only used one of them in the attack.

He is the youngest parent who is exposed to charges in connection with a school shooting. James and Jennifer Crumbly were sentenced to 10 to 15 years in prison in April 2024. They were found guilty for involuntary homicide

The crumbleys were the first parents to be charged with a mass shooting in a school because of the deaths. Her son Ethan, who was 15 years old at the time of the shootout, was guilty of 24 charges, including the first degree, and was sentenced to life imprisonment in 2023 without probation.
